Uthgerd's House, Hviterun, Whiterun, Skyrim

Lorm wants me to suck this time. Come to think of it, we haven't actually done it all the way before this morning.

We have a bath and then I chat some with Lucia, Ysolda and Carlotta on the marketplace and shop a little.
Laura stands in front of Carlotta's stall facing Ysolda, Carlotta talks to Mila
From left: Ysolda, Laura, Carlotta, Mila.

Needless to say, I instruct the city guards that their order to not let Lorm enter the city is now canceled.

The priestess Danica allows me to talk briefly to Cairine of Markarth. She looks almost normal by now. I tell her she mustn't think she's too old. She can start a new life in Hviterun. A great number of doors will be open to her and I shall give her all the help I can.

I hope I'm getting through to her. (My interest in this, just to remind you, is to make her tell me interesting things about important people in Markarth.)

overview of Hviterun from the palace stairs, Gildergreen and the temple in the middle, houses everywhere
In the middle is the sacred tree Gildergreen and right from it the temple of Kynareth.
Beyond the tree and all those houses is the main city gate. Down on the left side you can see Heimskr preaching.
The stairway on the left leads up to Jorrvaskr, behind which is the gate to the eastern suburb.
The jarl's palace is behind me. And the small stairway on the right behind the two firebowls leads to the Hall of the Dead.

Then me and my followers head for Blackmoor.

It starts to rain. We run past a giant camp named Bleakwind Basin and reach Blackmoor by half past 4. Not exactly good time-planning, but let's hope the remaining daylight is going to be sufficient.

middle-aged woman in a brown hooded robe stands in front of an altar with candles and offerings
A colleague of Valandro. They have a large and busy temple here.

We walk to the graveyard a little way outside the town gate. One grave has indeed been dug up very crudely. Funny the people of Blackmoor bury their dead in graves rather than store mummies on shelves as is the custom elsewhere in Skyrim. Come to think of it, many inhabitants of Blackmoor look a little different and speak a little differently. Maybe they're descendants of some immigrants? Got to find out someday. But right now we have a job to do.

Luckily, Ghorbash is really very good at tracking animals down. They haven't gone very far. In a little cave southwest of Blackmoor, we find the corpse of Forad which the animals haven't even eaten. I'm letting Ghorbash carry it back to Blackmoor.

Valandro was right. Such behavior is not at all typical to animals. Besides, all four of us have a weird spooky feeling in that cave, and we're all eager to leave it. But I can't find anything tangible. So we just return to Blackmoor.

I tell Valandro who is praying at Forad's grave that this is all we can do for him. He says, no problem, he'll check the cave out with Andurs of Hviterun and see if they can find some traces of the magic used on those three animals. We've been of big help, he says.

Valandro has obviously a lot of work to do, so I won't bother him with the question how come they bury their dead in this un-Nordish manner. Besides, night is falling. I wonder if we should run to Elisdriel for the night. I'm curious to have sex with Ghorbash. He wouldn't win any beauty contests, at least not in Skyrim, but he's very big and strong, and I've never been with an Orc man before. And by heading out from Elisdriel tomorrow morning, we could make good use of daylight on our way to Solitud. I've told you we'd like to return to Hviterun by Heidi's birthday in three days from now. Then again, we don't really have to hurry to Winterhold to take Jenassa back. Nothing bad will happen if we continue running with Ghorbash for some time.

The point is, we're not really in a hurry, but Elisdriel is close enough to reach it comfortably tonight, and it's a very nice place to be. And I saw my kind-of-boyfriend Anedhel on the streets of Blackmoor yesterday and it reminded me of that embarrassing experience four months ago and, well, it's a nice evening, so let's run to Elisdriel, right?

Actually, it's quite dark already outside settlements. We can see just about enough to find our way almost correctly. Elisdriel, though, is still so amazing with all those lanterns and things.

I take Ghorbash upstairs. I must say he's quite handsome for an Orc. And his butt looks gorgeous!! Although I get to see very little of it, but that's all right. Our lovemaking is sensational. I had been slightly worried that maybe Ghorbash has been too successful in following the age-old Orc custom that men other than the village chief suppress their sexual urges. As soon as we get naked, I can see that my fear has been groundless. Have I already told you that it's one of the most miraculous sights in the world how a man's body part that has nothing like a bone inside rises up at the sight of your nakedness?

We go on late into the night. I have to give Ghorbash a few tips, because he really has been living sctrictly by the Orc customs so far. I mean, seriously, this is the first time ever he's having sex! I'm most grateful for having been granted this experience.

During one of our resting pauses, I get to know that Orc boys aren't even told anything about sex. I ask Ghorbash if women were one of the reasons why he wanted to leave the village. He says, no, he had no idea, and now he's horrified to think what he would have missed. In fact, he says he never wants to leave me, and I explain as gently as I can that it's impossible for us to stay together, but I shall introduce him in Solitud where he has, firstly, a lot of opportunity to make himself a name as a brave warrior and, secondly, can get to know a wide variety of women. As my ex-follower, he will be looked upon very favorably.

After three ejaculations, Ghorbash doesn't look exhausted by a long shot, but I decide we'd better get some rest. This will not be our last night together. I caress his delightful strong tight buttocks before I fall asleep profoundly happy.

Dead Man's Drink, Falkert, Falkreath, Skyrim

We run southwest, headed for uncharted country. I'm utterly fascinated by everything gradually getting lighter with the sun rising while we run.

In the village of Pinewood, we make just a brief stop, exchange a few friendly words with a couple of guards, and move on.

After a while, we discover a stone structure with a spriggan in it, and hurriedly return to the road before that basically good but not too bright creature would become alarmed.

A little further, the road ends, turning into a snowy uphill path.

With my heart pounding, I lead the way. Where will this path lead to? A new world or just solid mountain?

It leads to Elinhir Pass. The name suggests it would take us through the mountain range.

It's two days to the New Year's Eve. Should we go back and return here after the New Year's celebrations? Or should we proceed just a little further? I mean, this is not some kind of a magic portal. It's a pass. We can go through and cast a look at what's on the other side, and we'll be able to come back to Skyrim anytime we want, won't we?

What's on the other side, anyway? Cyrodiil? Hammerfell?

Hammerfell, say Lydia and Jenassa. Elinhir is a town in Hammerfell.

This may be where Rayya came to Skyrim from. But she said the Hammerfell border had been closed. Is it still?

The girls have no idea. They haven't even heard the border used to be closed.

We decide to go and take a brief look. A few minutes of walking uphill, and the path ends at a strong wall with a gate.

We approach. About ten meters before the gate is a magical barrier that physically prevents us from proceeding. A Hammerfell border guard appears and tells us we can't get through. I try to negotiate, but he won't answer any questions. Eventually, we turn back, immensely frustrated. Such an amazing discovery and then such a letdown!

We run back towards Falkert. A bit of a comic relief awaits us just before Pinewood:

What is that thing straight ahead of us? A gang-raped spriggan?

Greatly puzzled, we get closer only to find it's just a forked treeroot plus a trick of the light:

This magnificent mountain is somewhere between Pinewood and Falkert:

Sitting in the Falkert inn, still somewhat dejected, and replying to Valga's compassionate enquiries, I come up with a new plan. We have just about enough time to travel unhurriedly to Dragonbridge and get that fifth letter from M to Reginald. It's not exactly important, but it's the only quest we have anywhere near to where we currently are. We can spend the night in Dragonbridge and then return leisurely to Hviterun via Morthal. Take in the sights and such.

The other plan would be to go to Dushnikh Yal in the west, just to say hello, and Morpork, to see if the city administration and businesses have finally turned back to normal.

We are all in agreement that the first plan is better, mainly because we have no reason to expect anything will be different in Morpork. There's something very wrong with that city. Before we return there, we need to come up with something we can do to help. It wouldn't be very smart to assume things would turn back to normal by themselves.

Come to think of it – if we go to Dragonbridge, we should even have enough time to visit Dånstar. Maybe we can persuade Bjarne's boss to give him a couple of days off, so he can come with us to Hviterun for the new year.

I'm not surprised Lydia thinks it's an excellent idea.

We now travel to Northkeep, passing by the Half-Moon Mill:

From there, it's but a stone's throw to Northkeep where we do some shopping and such:

It occurs to me that on our way to Dragonbridge we can just as well pass through Roriksted where I can hire Erik as my follower, letting Jenassa return to the city ahead of us. She'll have but a relatively short trip to the east over easy terrain. I'm not interested in keeping Erik permanently, but by hiring him I can let him get away in such a manner that his father will be satisfied that his son is not just idling around. After Roriksted, we can proceed to Dragonbridge and later Dånstar as planned. Once we're back in Hviterun, I'll dismiss Erik and Borgakh and re-hire Jenassa and Jordis. That is good for two reasons. Firstly, Erik will be able to live in Hviterun, and secondly, I'll have the choice between Valdimar and Erik whenever I'm in the city and feel the desire to make love.

Under the blue sky, we trot towards Roriksted.

We discover a Gjukar's Monument  somewhat away from the road. It's just a very high phallic stone column. I've no idea what it's supposed to symbolize or who Gjukar was.

And this is Roriksted:

The villagers, including Erik, are happy to see me. I hire him as my follower. Jenassa prefers to rest in Roriksted for a while and then return to the city. We hug her goodbye and move on. We have been so fast that I think we have enough time to travel via Elisdriel and Dunstad Grove. Elisdriel is, as you know, always a nice place to spend and hour or two.

Erik won't have to wait for long to put himself to test as a warrior. We are attacked by bandits on our way to the north, shortly before the place where we'd have to turn off the road and go northeast:
downward slope, cart and a dead human on the road, armed man coming out from behind a rock, valley ahead
There's one visible on the right behind that stone. The man on the road was already dead.
Might have been killed by those very bandits.

They are very uncoordinated. That is good because it makes it easier for us to kill them, but it's bad because just when I think we've got them all, the last man appears unexpectedly and hits me with several arrows before we can draw our weapons again and finish him off.

We now need to get past the waterfall to our east, which means going uphill in the southeasterly direction a little bit, bypassing the waterfall, and then descending along the eastern riverbank all the way down to the other river branch which we'll have to cross. (That'll be the one in the picture below.)

As we're descending towards the river, looking for the most comfortable place to cross over to the northern bank, I notice how Erik is glancing at me in a way that leaves no doubt he'll want to have sex with me. I'm definitely not in the mood (my ovulation must have ended) but I know I can't be so cruel as to turn him down, especially not in the kind of a fairytale environment we have in Elisdriel.

I catch Lydia grinning. Undoubtedly, she has noticed how Erik is eyeing me and has realized the same thing I just realized. Well, I brought it upon myself. And surely it won't take all that awfully long.

Arrived in Elisdriel, I exchange enquiring glances with Erik. Then I sigh resignedly and tell Lydia and Borgakh to take a walk. Erik and I go in. I intend to just lie there, but Erik makes me hold my legs very high so he has it more comfortable.

In spite of myself, I start to really enjoy it, to the extent I even begin to wonder if the girls can hear me outside. No, I'm sure I'm not that loud, and why should I worry anyway?

Afterwards, Erik and I lie on the bed, cuddling lazily. Somehow I don't think we'll be going anywhere tonight. For that matter, I hate to have to climb out of the bed, but I can't let the girls remain outside for the whole night.

I don't bother to put any clothes on.

Actually, it's light enough outside for us to move on, but wild horses couldn't drag me away from here right now. It's not like I'm tired. Not at all. I'm simply overcome by this amazing peacefulness and calm. For the first time in I don't know how long time I'm feeling delighted just being there without any urge to hurry somewhere and do something.

I have a brilliant inspiration. I not only tell Lydia and Borgakh they may come in, I ask Lydia if she would like to go upstairs together and try to refute a law of nature. (I mean what we know about Nord men.) She is thrilled.

Borgakh asks if she can come along and watch. I reply jokingly: "Only if you strip naked." To my great surprise, she agrees.

So they take off their clothes downstairs and quietly walk up the stairs after me. I go first, in order to obstruct Erik's view for as long as possible, and then we're all over him, Lydia and I.

We not only succeed in, as it were, reviving his manhood, we end up making wild abandoned love deep into the night. Erik does it with Lydia and then he lets me have it the second time. While he's resting, Lydia and I kiss and such. I notice unmistakable fascination on Borgakh's face. It's the first time I'm seeing her drop that Orcish matter-of-factly mask.

Lydia sees it too. When Erik joins our cuddling, evidently aroused again, Lydia invites Borgakh to masturbate him. Under Lydia's expert instructions, she gets him rock hard quite soon. I look questioningly at Erik, but he seems to be enjoying himself so thoroughly that we let Borgakh's hand please him all the way. Lydia takes the tip into his mouth towards the end, though, while I kiss Erik's mouth and caress his belly.

After that, Erik can't keep his eyes open any longer, so Lydia and Borgakh go to their sleeping mats downstairs (simply because the bedroom is too small).

Alva's House, Morthal, Hjaalmarch, Skyrim

Across the marshland lighted only by poisonous plants, we head north-northeast towards Ustengrav. It's still night and we can't see much, not even the bandits outside Ustengrav. Fortunately, they give themselves away with their arrogant shouting, which leaves us plenty of time to grab our weapons and spread out, killing them easily.

There's a strange round structure of maybe ten meters of diameter, with steps going down. At the bottom of the stairs, there's a bandit corpse and a door. It opens to a cavern with platforms and a thick column and candles and fires burning here and there, as well as an occasional draugr coming to life and charging at us.

Fortunately, they're not too many at a time. They're also courteous enough to make their presence known to us from a decent distance. That's why the draugr-killing is pretty much routine work here. What is truly exciting is a furious death match between a draugr and a mage. We wait it out, sitting safely behind a corner where they can't see us. The draugr wins. He hasn't noticed us. As he walks away, I sneak up behind him and kill him.

Eventually we arrive in a dining hall of sorts. There are stone tables with actual food on some of them. Don't ask me who's been eating it. There's no living soul (or even undead) here now.

I recall this hall from dreams I've had in the distant past. It's a place impossible to find one's way out of. There are passages going in various directions, but no matter which one you take, you end up back in this very hall. I remember running around and around for what seemed an eternity. But this is not a dream. This is real. So we'll try to find a way forward anyway.

An hour later, I give up. As Bardslayer doesn't know how to get out of this cursed hall either, he teleports us through the walls in the direction of our goal. Unfortunately, he drops us in a weirdly-shaped room where the floor is entirely covered with rune traps. Each step I take sets off bursts of flames. I see no other way but to run forward as fast as I can. When I'm finally across with more than half of my health gone, I'm attacked by a spider, a little bigger than usual. I'm happy to notice that my Restoration skill has become so good that when I'm permanently casting the Healing  spell, I can restore my health just about as quickly as the spider can injure me. Content that my life in not in immediate danger, I begin to strike at the spider with my powerful dagger (I only need one hand for keeping up the spell) and eventually kill it. Then I run further away from the fire traps into open space, only to have two or three more spiders drop down on me. All that time, my followers have been busy with the remaining spiders nearby. We finally kill them all. Giant spiders don't really stand a chance against the combination of weapons, magic and potions. It was scary, but I'm pleased with my ability to keep a cool head in the midst of this monstrous firestorm and make right decisions quickly. (Didn't have any presence of mind left for taking pictures, sorry.)

Another hour of dungeons and draugrs, and we arrive in a large hall with a pond, a stone bridge across it and a platform at the other end:

I know there is something very terrible hiding in here. Most likely, it'll be in that water. I mean, it's pretty obvious that a place like this can't be harmless. I take a potion to fortify my Archery skill and a potion to temporarily increase my health. Then I cautiously take a step forward...

We hear a loud rumble. Something begins to rise from the water. Four large things. I shoot an arrow at one of them. It just bounces off. The thing is made of metal. So are the others. They're but four big statues, completely... well... harmless.

Not quite believing it's true, I walk across the bridge with utmost caution. Nothing happens. I approach the platform. Still nothing. There's a piece of paper. I pick it up. I look around me. Nothing. Absolutely nothing is happening.

The note is addressed to me. Really? Well, I mean, not to Laura. To "the Dragonborn". But it has to mean me. It's uncanny – someone wrote a letter and left it here, at the deepest end of this horrible dungeon, on the off chance I happen to drop by? If so, he must have known the Gaybores had sent me here.

Or guessed they must have, says Lydia.

Whatever. The anonymous author says he wants to talk to me. I'm supposed to go to the Riverwood inn and say I want to rent the attic room. That's the passphrase.

It's not too hard to figure out he took the ritual horn we came here to find.

Fine. I take the last look around in this not-so-awfully-horrible hall. No one wants to attack us. Let's get out of here, then.

We return to Morthal, loaded to capacity. Again, nothing interesting in our loot. Just trash to sell for money. Our Vampire Armors and Vampire Boots (which I keep enhancing as my Smithing skill improves) are still way better than anything else. To be honest, I didn't expect draugrs to carry anything spectacular to begin with.

I find a moment to tell Lydia about Athragar. She agrees with me – no man would talk like that to a woman he loves. He is clearly a seducer playing the game of numbers, that is chatting up women whenever he gets a chance and trying out one approach after another.

The Morthal shopkeepers have much too little money. There's still time to get to Dunstad Grove today. The plan is simple – we'll sell what we can, get acquainted with the village and generally have a pleasant evening, then head further south tomorrow.

Dunstad Grove lies to the southwest from Morthal, on the western bank of a wide river. We have to take the Dånstar–Dragonbridge highway back to the west.

After we've crossed the bridge, at the eastern end of which is one of The Naked Dragon brothels, we have to leave the road and proceed southwards over the hills, as there's no road leading from here to Dunstad Grove.

And there it is:

Dunstad Grove has a few modest shops and they're still open. In a nutshell, it's a cozy village, a close-knit community away from big roads and major events. It's nice to be here and I just love the river with the mountains on the other side. They have a bit of a problem with occasional bear attacks, but the guards are competent fighters.

We pay a visit to the nearby Crabber's Shanty to say hello to Pinarus and Ma'isha. We find the latter alone keeping house while the fisher is out on some errands. So we sit down for a while to keep the child company. She ends up telling us that there's a wonderful elven-style wooden house up a huge tree southwest of here up the hills. She has only seen it once from afar, but she can't go to explore it because of all the dangerous animals who abound in this region.

I decide we'll go and try to find that extraordinary place. Ma'isha shows us where a comfortable path leads uphill in the general direction of that fairytale house.

Indeed, before it's quite dark, we see an adorable little house built on a wooden platform up a big tree, surrounded by marvelous green lanterns:

That house is truly like a dream. It's the kind of place you never want to leave. There's a large kitchen-livingroom space and a staircase that leads to a bedroom on the second storey.

I know what is exactly the right thing to do at a time like this. I tell the girls to remain downstairs and be quiet, and motion Valdimar to follow me into the bedroom. He doesn't need to be told twice. The materials the bedroom has been built of and the living plants growing here and there make it feel like you're in the midst of grass and trees, except that it's warm and dry.

The room may be dry, but I'm not. Valdimar and I get undressed as quickly as we can and then we're on the bed. Since I'm the boss, I don't need to play shy, so we do it with me on top. I'll leave the rest to your imagination. Suffice to say it's monumental. The unreal beauty of this place, the fulfilled sensation in me, the admiration in Valdimar's eyes... I couldn't be happier.
